5 Days Stargazing Desert Tour

DAY 1: MARRAKECH – AIT BENHADDOU – OUARZAZATE

After we met at the place that we had agreed upon. We will start our tour in the southeast through the High Atlas. Via Tizi N’tichka pass (2260 m in altitude), With stops to enjoy the spectacular views offered and see the Berber villages. We continue to visit the Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou, recognized by UNESCO, As a world heritage site since 1986, where many films took place such as Alexander, Gladiator, and Babel…, In the afternoon, we continue our way to Ouarzazate “the Hollywood of Africa”, And stop for pictures next largest studio in Africa “Atlas studio”. Dinner and Overnight.

DAY 2: OUARZAZATE – DRAA VALLEY – Nkob – ALNIF  – TAFRAOUT DESERT

Today, we will depart towards the Draa Valley, Where you can see one of the longest rivers in Morocco. On the way we make some stops to take pictures and enjoy the view of the spectacular kasbahs, Berber villages, that do the road as well as the beauties of the Draa valley, On our way to lunch in Alnif, we will pass through the fabulous Nkob palm grove and its amazing Kasbahs. Following the desert trails to Tafraoute in the afternoon, we will arrive at the hotel for dinner on a stargazing night.

DAY 3: TAFRAOUTE – RAMLIA – OUZINA – KHAMLIA – MERZOUGA DESERT.

After breakfast, The journey will begin traversing across some very diverse landscapes. We take the trail through sand rivers, villages lost in nothingness, Nomad camps, and dry lakes until we reach the Ouzina desert, A magnificent place, accessible only by off-road tracks, Later partaking in a visit to Khamlia, A truly unique Gnawa village, just before reaching Merzouga Dunes. Ride the camels and spend the night stargazing in a desert camp.

DAY 4: ERG CHEBBI – RISSANI – ERFOUD – TODRA GORGES – DADES VALLEY

An early start rewards you with the spectacle of sunrise, Over the sea of dunes. After breakfast, you return on the camels to Merzouga, Departure to Rissani, The desert gate of Erg Chebbi, with a bustling Souk little frequented by tourists, A park of donkeys near the market. Our drive continues to Tinghir “mountain city” in Tamazight language, another beautiful Berber village, Where we will enjoy the contrast of their palm groves and roses. We enter the magnificent Todra Gorges formed by walls over 300m high, a Popular international climbing spot. After that visit, we drive to the Dades Valley, Night in a charming riad.

DAY 5: DADES VALLEY – SKOURA – OUARZAZATE – MARRAKECH

We continue our 5 days stargazing desert tour crossing different valleys such as the Roses Valley, And the Skoura palm grove, with its hidden kasbahs, On our way to Ouarzazate, we will take the High Atlas Mountain, Road through the Tizi n´Tichka pass, That will lead us back to the red city of Marrakech.
