12 days desert tour from Casablanca to the south and north of the country, across the Atlantic coast, historic sites, UNESCO World Heritage sites, beaches, Kasbahs, and the oldest and most impressive monuments. Enjoy the landscapes and camel trek in the Sahara desert, and visit the Imperial cities in Morocco Fes, Marrakech, Meknes, and Rabat. 12 days

Day 1: Arrival at the Airport – Visit Casablanca

After meeting at the airport, we will begin this 12 days desert tour via the historical heritage of Morocco’s largest city, Casablanca, we will be able to explore some places of the city as the largest mosque of Hassan II and the coastal “Corniche”, Accommodation in a hotel.

Day 2: Casablanca – El Jadida – Essaouira

We head towards Essaouira, we pass through El Jadida, this city was the ancient Mazagan, one of the most beautiful cities on the Atlantic coast of Morocco. This ancient medina was established in 1513 by the Portuguese, they earned it a place on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2004. We will continue our trip along the Atlantic coast, We will arrive in Essaouira in the afternoon, free time. Accommodation in Riad.

Day 3: Essaouira – Marrakech

After breakfast, visit Essaouira the UNESCO World Heritage city. The windy fishing port, with wide beaches, and the ancient walled medina, with walls built on the cliffs, has long been a popular destination. In the afternoon we leave for Marrakech, free time to walk and explore Djamaa El Fnaa square.

Day 4: Full day to visit Marrakech

Today you will have an optional private guided tour to Marrakech, with an official guide, you will see the famous Mosque of the Koutoubia, the Medina, and its souks, and explore some of the secrets of Marrakech: The Koranic school Ali Ben Youssef, the Saadian palace, the Bahia Palace, and the Majorelle gardens, overnight in a riad in the Medina.

Day 5: Marrakech – High Atlas – Ait Benhaddou Kasbah – Dades Valley

we will drive to the southeast through the High Atlas, via the Tizi-n-Tichka pass. With a far-reaching overview from the mountains, then heading to the ancient Atlas Berber villages. Visit Ait Benhaddou Kasbah the UNESCO World Heritage site, at lunchtime. After that we continue the tour to Dades Valley crossing through Atlas studio, Ouarzazate the Hollywood of Africa, Roses Valley, and down to Dades Valley. overnight at the Hotel or Riad.

Day 6: Dades Valley – Toudra Gorges – Alnif – Tafraoute

After breakfast, we will head towards Tafraoute. Through the gorges of Todra, Tenghir, and pass through Alnif. The Berber villages with their small orchards are distributed along the way, crossing on a desert set full of acacia trees and small dunes, we will make a stop to have a picnic under the acacia trees, and we will meet the local Berber tribes, also have the opportunity to visit an Association or cooperative of Fossils and Minerals of Tafraoute.

Day 7: Tafraoute – Ramlia – Ouzina – Khamlia – Merzouga

Today, the trip of 12 Days, will begin crossing very diverse landscapes. The Paris-Dakar Rally Track will take us across sandy rivers, Berber villages, Nomads, dry lakes, and dunes of Ouzina: a magnificent place, that can only be accessed by off-road tracks to Khamlia, a truly unique village of Gnaua, we will enjoy the traditional music, then we will have a lunch break with Berber Pizza accompanied by tea a very complete rice salad. Just before you reach the dunes of Merzouga, where you will meet your camel guide to cross the dunes to the camp, spend the night, dinner, and music under the starry sky.

Day 8: Merzouga – Arfoud – Ziz Valley – Azrou – Ifrane – Fes

Departure to Fez via Erfoud, stopping to see the valley of Ziz. We continue towards Midelt through the Tizi N’talghamt pass, with a lunch break. After lunch, we will head to Fes through the cedar forest and the Middle Atlas mountain, with the possibility of seeing the Barbary monkeys, you can make a stop at Ifrane before arriving at Fes, Accommodation.

Day 9: Full day to visit Fes

Exploring day with a local guide, Exploring the attractions of Fez the old imperial city of Morocco. The tour starts from the Royal Palace gate, you will have the opportunity, to visit the ceramics cooperative to see traditional Moroccan crafts; and take you through the narrow streets of the Medina, to the Jewish Quarter and the Tanneries. This tour highlights all the sites of cultural and historical interest, including the famous Al karaouine Universit, in the afternoon, we will take you to admire the panoramic view over the Medina and visit the new city or the new Fez.

Day 10: Fes – Meknes – Volubilis – Chefchaouen

After breakfast, our authentic journey will shift our way to Meknes, the fourth of Morocco’s imperial cities and the 17th-century heritage, where we will stop for lunch and hang around the historical huge walls of the medina, we take a glimpse of Bab Mansour, then to the Roman Ruins at Volubilis, an open-air museum. Volubilis is not as spectacular as the Roman sites on the Mediterranean rim, But it is still a relaxed way of envisaging an important part of Moroccan history…, After the visit to Volubilis, we will drive directly to Chefchaouen, overnight.

Day 11: Chefchaouen – Rabat – Casablanca

Leaving for Rabat, the capital of Morocco, was an imperial city in 1660 and the capital of the country between 1912 and 1956, Rabat has now a UNESCO World Heritage site since 2012, inscribed as “Rabat, modern capital and the historical city”. We will visit more important monuments of Rabat: the Kasbah of Udayas, the Hassan Tower, the ruins of the mosque built by Ya’qub al-Mansur, the beautiful Mausoleum of Mohammed V, where is the tumulus of King Mohammed V, his son King Hassan II and his brother Moulay Abdellah. We continue the road to Casablanca, Accommodation.

Day 12: Casablanca – Airport

Transfer to the airport. End of the 12 days desert tour.
