13 Days from Casablanca to the Sahara desert via Chefchaouen

13 days tour from Casablanca to the Sahara Desert via Chefchaouen, we will visit Casablanca mosque, tourist places in Rabat Hassan Tower, Oudaias, Meknes, Sahrij Souani Bassin, Bab El Mansour gate…), Volubilis. and you will have a Full day to visit Fez the old Imperial City, Ifrane “The Moroccan Switzerland”, then Azrou where we will have a stop at the famous cedar forest the largest in Morocco, to see and enjoy with Barbary apes. On this trip, we will visit Merzouga Sahara Desert: Erg Chebbi, ride a camel, sunrise and sunset, night in a camp between dunes in Sahara, Gnaoua music in Khamlia, Dades Valley. Ouarzazate, Kasbah Ait Benhaddou, Marrakech, UNESCO World Heritage Site, Mogador (Essaouira) and Marrakech sightseeing. The 13 days tour will end in Casablanca.

Day 1: Arrival at Airport – Visit Casablanca

Arrive at Casablanca Mohamed V airport, and begin to visit the historical heritage of the largest city of Morocco, we will be able to explore some places in the city.  As the biggest Mosque Hassan II and the Coastal Seaside “Corniche”. Before we come back to the hotel overnight.

Day 2: Casablanca – Rabat – Assilah. 
This journey will start by travelling to Rabat, the capital of Morocco, you will see the Hassan Tower, and walk the Udayas Kasbah before we arrive in Asilah, most of the drive will be by the coast where you will have the opportunity to explore the city. Asilah is known for its annual festival for art. And most of the walls of Medina are painted by various famous artists from all over the world. Your visit includes the Skalla fortress, where you will experience a wonderful view of the Medina and the ocean. overnight in our Hotel/Riad.
Day 3: Assilah – Tangier – Chefchaouen. 
We will continue our 13 days tour to Chefchaouen, which is a Berber name meaning ”horn”. Along the way, you will enjoy some of the most beautiful landscapes of northern Morocco, Via the city of Tangier. Where we will visit the famous Hercules Cave, the beautiful beach of Achakar, and Cap Spartel, where the Mediterranean and Atlantic oceans meet. Visit the old town, with its warren of atmospheric alleys. then, continue via the Rif mountains to Chefchaouen we will get the afternoon, to visit this beautiful town. Is a must in order to discover the real beauty, this little town that hides inside the Rif Mountains, Has to offer such as Outa Hamam Square, it’s the beautiful medina, Overnight.
 
Day 4: Full day in Chefchaoeun. 
This day is specialised for exploring Chefchaouen. With its steep, narrow streets, white and indigo limewashed buildings. The Place Uta el-Hamman, the square at the heart of the old town. Is ideal for a relaxed stroll, and is close to the Grand Mosque. Nearby are the Fondouk, the Kasbah and the Museum. The Medina, with its maze of alleyways, contains more than 100 weavers’ workshops – Chefchaouen is famous for the woollen jellabas, that are woven here. The Quartier Al-Andalus district also contains highly decorated and painted houses.
Day 5: Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Meknes – Fes. 
After breakfast, we will depart to Volubilis and explore the ruins of this Roman city. We continue to Meknes, where you will explore the Medina of Meknes and the Sahrij Souani. Used for irrigation and plantation, The Square of Lehdim, and the Gate of Bab al Mansour. You will have the opportunity to explore the souks. Later we will continue onto Fes. Accommodation at a traditional Riad.
Day 6: Exploring Fes with a local guide.
Specialised day for Exploring the attractions of Fes, the old imperial city of Morocco. The tour starts from the Royal Palace gate, you will have the opportunity to visit the ceramics cooperative, to see traditional Moroccan crafts. And takes you through the narrow streets of the Medina to the Jewish Quarter and the Tanneries. This tour highlights all the sites with cultural and historical interest. Including the famous Al Karaouine University, Overnight.
 
Day 7: Fes – Ifrane – Midelt – Arfoud – Merzouga desert. (overnight in the Luxurious camp) 
After breakfast, we will drive to the Sahara desert, Passing through Ifrane and the cedar forests, where the wild monkeys are located. It will be a good opportunity to take photos of the wilderness in Morocco. Lunch in a small Berber village. We continue the way through the Atlas Mountains enjoying the landscapes of Midelt, then Erfoud in which we’ll feel the beginning of the Desert oasis of Tafilalet. And then continue to Merzouga desert, after relaxing few min.. you’ll ride the camels to spend the night in a Desert Camp.
Day 8: Erg Chebbi dunes – Berber Families – Khamlia village – Merzouga
Wake up early morning, to catch the beauty of the sunrise in the desert. You will ride camels back to where you will meet your driver, you will have all the day around the desert, visiting Nomad families and Gnaoua village Khamlia. Where we will be entertained with authentic instruments. After spending a worthwhile moment with Gnaoua, you will have a traditional Berber Pizza. Then, we drive to the Hotel or Riad, overnight.
Day 9: Merzouga Desert – Rissani – Todra gorge – Dades valley. 
Today morning, departure to Rissani. The desert gate of Erg Chebbi, with a bustling Souk little frequented by tourists, is a park of donkeys near the market. Then, drive to Tinghir and Todra Gorges. It is the highest and narrowest gorges in Morocco. After lunch in the gorge, we’ll drive through the Dades Valley enjoying the rock formations and monkey toes. Overnight in Dades Valley.
Day 10: Dades valley – Ouarzazate – Marrakech. 
After having breakfast, depart to Marrakech via Ouarzazate. Stopping for a panoramic view of the Taourirt Kasbah, and the atlas film studios. After that. You will visit the UNESCO World Heritage site, the Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou. which has served as a natural decoration for many movie producers since the 1960s. And stop for lunch in a local restaurant in the village. In the Afternoon. We will drive to Marrakech over the mountains of high Atlas passing through the Tizi N’tichka pass (2260 m in altitude). Drop off in Marrakech.
Day 11: Full Day to visit Marrakech with a local guide
Today will have an optional private Guided Tour of Marrakech, with an official guide from Marrakech, you will see the famous Mosque of Koutoubia, the Medina and its souks, and explore some more of Marrakech’s secrets: Ali Ben Youssef Koranic School, the Saadian the Bahia Palace and Majorelle Gardens, a night at a Riad in the Medina. Overnight.
Day 12: Marrakech – Essaouira. 

 Today we will leave Marrakech towards Essaouira, and drive for a 3-hour trip to the port town. You will have an optional visit to a cooperative of Argan oil before you arrive in Essaouira. Upon arrival, you will start a walking tour of the traditional port. then, you walk through arches, and Ramparts that belong to the 18th century. The tour also features a stop by Dutch cannons, directed towards the sea. You can also roam around the market which displays oak products as the main artefact of the city. Lunch, and then check into the hotel. Free time in the afternoon.

Day 13: Essaouira – Casablanca.

In the morning after breakfast, we will drive to Casablanca centre or Casablanca airport. End of the 13 days tour.
